Reba McEntire and Daughter-in-Law Kelly Clarkson Sang a Duet at the ACM Awards
With Carrie Underwood’s triumphant comeback after getting more than 40 facial stitches, a star-studded red carpet (did you see Nicole Kidman’s look?), and killer performances, the 2018 ACM Awards had it all.
It didn’t stop there, though. In one of the highlights of the evening, Reba McEntire sang a duet with her daughter-in-law Kelly Clarkson, marking the first time they’ve shared the stage in a decade. They last performed publicly together during their 2 Worlds 2 Voices tour in 2008.

The best part? McEntire hit the stage in the same Sandy Spika red dress she wore for a performance with Linda Davis at the 1993 CMA Awards.
The duo teamed up to duet to McEntire’s song “Does He Love You,” but before they hit any notes, they were singing each other’s praises.
“Getting back on stage with her is going to be a blast because she sings her butt off and she’s cute as a button,” McEntire told People about working with Clarkson again. “When she opens her mouth to sing, it’s just like, ‘What is she gonna do next?’ She’s got this range, and I’m in awe every time she sings.”

Clarkson seemed to agree. “She’s become more than just a dear friend, she’s family,” she added.
Of course, McEntire and Clarkson really are family. Clarkson is married to McEntire’s son, Brandon Blackstock, whom she began dating in 2012. Together, they have a daughter and a son.
