Nicki Minaj Wore a Fur Coat to NYFW, Is Totally Unaffected by Real Time Heat

When you’re a star like Nicki Minaj, you can simply create your own reality.

Case in point: The rapper’s attendance at the Oscar de la Renta spring 2018 show during NYFW. On Monday afternoon, Minaj defied the sweltering summer heat felt throughout the Big Apple, and swaddled herself in a sumptuous fur coat for the occasion.

As if fur in the summertime wasn’t already enough of a fashion feat, the black-and-white design also came fully equipped with a inclement-weather hood. Minaj kept the rest of her ensemble simple, layering a waist-cinching belt atop a white shirt and black trousers. Her strappy Christian Louboutin sandals were the only indication that the beauty had knowledge of the soaring temperatures outside. 

“I’m hot in every sense of the word,” Minaj told WWD, after she staged a photo shoot of sorts on her own IG page, cleverly captioning all of her shots, “Barbie in the city.” Ski slope Barbie, indeed.
