Captain America Calls The President Of The United States A Racist

SUDBURY, MA — Add Captain America to the list of those calling the president of the United States a racist. Chris Evans, from Sudbury, is better known Steve Rogers/Captain America, from the Marvel movies. And Evans, wielding Twitter as handily as Thor’s hammer, chimed in on the controversy swirling around President Trump and Reps. Ayanna Pressley, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar — congressional freshmen known as “the squad.”

“This is racist, Biff,” Evans said in quoting one of several tweets from Trump over the past three days. Biff is the bully in the “Back To The Future” franchise.

“The only thing worse than actually being hateful and racist, is casually wielding hate and racism to activate your base in an unrelenting, painfully transparent, and crushingly on-brand effort to soothe your only true devotion: feeding your insatiable ego,” Evans continued.

Trump sparked a firestorm of controversy when he suggested the congresswomen “go back” to the places they came from. Only one of the four, Tlaib, was born outside America, and she’s a naturalized citizen.

This isn’t the first time Evans has been critical of Trump. In March, he told The Hollywood Reporter he “might have to cut ties” with Tom Brady if the Patriots quarterback continues to supports President Trump.

“Maybe [Brady] thought it was going to be different — and even that bothers me — but maybe there’s a chance now he just thinks Trump’s an absolute dumb s—, which he is,” Evans said. “If he doesn’t, if he’s still on that Trump train, I might have to cut ties. It’s really tough.”
