College Recruiting: two-time state placewinner Ellingson to Minnesota State University Mankato

Dereck Ellingson of Tracy-Milroy-Balaton/Westbrook-Walnut Grove has committed to wrestling for Minnesota State University Mankato next season.

Ellingson is a three-time state entrant and two-time placewinner. He was the Class A 132-pound third-place finisher this season. He placed third at 126 pounds as a junior and qualified at 120 pounds as a sophomore.

Ellingson is projected to wrestle at 133 or 141 pounds for the Mavericks.
