Novosibirsk lost first position in Superleague

Iskra Odintsovo won match of the round with Novosibirsk. Krasnodar beat strong Belgorod. Kazan is again on the top of the Superleague ranking.

Novosibirsk came to Odintsovo with one goal, to remain first in Superleague ranking. But also Iskra is fighting for the top position in table. The game was surprisingly finished in three sets when Odintsovo was clearly better in every aspect of the game.

“My boys have played against the leader of the current season. Perhaps due to this factor, the team played a bit nervous at the beginning of the first set. From a technical standpoint, this was not our best match, but in other components, we have shown our best side,” commented victory R. Santilli

Duel between Belgorod and Krasnodar should be easy ride for the team of G. Shipulin. After first two sets it seems that the duty will be done in three sets. Unfortunately Krasnodar didn´t give up and claimed victory after long battle in tiebreak.

“The first two sets I was unhappy with the actions of my team. We’ve done a lot of mistakes in simple situations, in those elements we have recently worked. Gradually guys “rocked”, and probably the role played also that Belgorod beat us in Krasnodar 3:1 and here there were up 2:0,” said head coach of Krasnodar.
