Ambrose & Rousey Removed From SummerSlam, Reigns’ WM 35 Match

Losing the likes of Tye Dillinger, TJP, and Hideo Itami may not have been too significant for WWE, but the company is still expected to lose two of its top stars within the next few weeks. Ronda Rousey is rumored to be taking a hiatus (or leave wrestling altogether) after WrestleMania 35 in April. Meanwhile, WWE has confirmed that former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose will be finishing up his run with the company after the event this year as well. Although the company has supposedly been trying to convince Ambrose to stay on board, all signs still point to Ambrose departing WWE in just a few more weeks. WWE has now started removing both of these competitors from some of their advertisements for this year’s shows.
WWE has started removing both Dean Ambrose and Ronda Rousey from some of the advertisements for the rest of their 2019 events. For instance, WWE will be putting tickets for this year’s SummerSlam events on-sale this Friday, but Rousey and Ambrose are not listed in any of the promotional materials for the shows. SummerSlam takes place in the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada on August 11th this year. It is possible that Ambrose or Rousey could end up sticking around in WWE for months to come, but until that happens, both are being removed from post-WrestleMania 35 events. It will be interesting to see what decision Rousey and Ambrose make after WrestleMania this year. The artwork for the SummerSlam events has been posted below:

Now that Roman Reigns is back with WWE as an active competitor, fans have been wondering what “The Big Dog” will be doing at WrestleMania this year. There were some rumors suggesting that he would be taking on Baron Corbin at the event, but following this week’s Raw show, it looks like he may have a new opponent lined up for himself. Cageside Seats reports that the choice to have Drew McIntyre beat down both Reigns and Dean Ambrose on Raw on Monday night was likely done as a way to set up a match between the Scottish wrestler and Reigns for WrestleMania 35. Reigns and McIntyre have never wrestled each other at WrestleMania before. Expect this match to be made official for the card very soon.
