Pfarr caps off wrestling career with 2nd place at NCAA tournament
To finish his senior season, Brett Pfarr took his place as one of the top wrestlers in the nation, claiming second place during the NCAA Tournament at his weight class.
Pfarr, a Le Sueur native, wrestled well in the tournament, advancing to the NCAA finals to wrestle for the crown. Leading up to the March 18 match, Pfarr said he felt calm and ready.
“It was surreal,” he said, but added that he had prepared for the chance to take his shot at the top. He faced off against J’Den Cox for the 197-pound crown. Cox ended up taking the win in an 8-2. decision. Continue reading at www.southernminn.com
