MSU to Send Ten Wrestlers to Auggie-Adidas Open

Mankato, Minn. — Minnesota State is sending 10 Mavericks to the Auggie-Adidas Open at Augsburg College on Nov. 21. Five of the Mavericks going to the tournament have placed in past competitions this season.

Chaydon O’Fallon (Fr., 197 lbs.) looks to keep his hot start going after a first and second-place finish in his two open tournaments this season. O’Fallon has recorded four falls, en route route to his 6-1 record to start off his career.

A pair of newcomers lead the Mavericks in wins for the season as Da’Wayne Robertson (Jr., 125 lbs.) and Malcolm Allen (Jr., 285 lbs.) sit at 9-4 and 11-3, respectively.

Alphonso Vruno (Jr., 141 lbs.) and Chris Zimmer (So., 197 lbs.) will both compete and have placed earlier this season. Vruno owns a 4-2 record and Zimmer stands 5-2 for the season.

Following the competition at Augsburg, Minnesota State will have a week off before heading to Storm Lake, Iowa for the Buena Vista Open on Dec. 6.
