Who Is Going To Dominate The Royal Rumble?

The WWE Royal Rumble is one of the most eagerly anticipated pay-per-view events in professional wrestling. It sees both the Raw and SmackDown brands come together for a superb night of great wrestling and entertainment, but this year things will be slightly different. It will be the 31st Royal Rumble event, however this time there will also be a women’s’ Royal Rumble match taking place too; meaning for the first time there will be two Royal Rumble matches on the night.
So with the Royal Rumble just a couple of weeks away, who is set to dominate on the night in the various events? In terms of the actual men’s Royal Rumble itself only John Cena, Finn Balor, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Elias, Baron Corbin, Woken Matt Hardy, Bray Wyatt, Aiden English and Rusev have been declared so far. All wrestling fans will know that the excitement starts from now, with even established betting sites already running a book on the event. Sports betting operator Unibet have priced Shinsuke Nakamura as favourite with John Cena seen as his main rival, although in a Royal Rumble, anything could happen.
There are 16 participants declared so far for the women’s Royal Rumble that include the likes of Asuka, Ruby Riott and Becky Lynch. It a fight that will be the first of its kind Asuka is already seen as the one to watch with the likes of Becky Lynch, Nia Jax, Sash Banks and Bayley all seen as potential threats on the night. It’s also rumoured that UFC star Ronda Rousey could make a surprise appearance in the fight and if she does, you can certainly see her being the dominant force.

On the night we will also get to see Brock Lesnar, Kane and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match for the WWE Universal Championship. Lesnar is the defending champion but Kane and Braun Stowman will be doing everything possible to wrestle the belt from “The Beast.” The likelihood is though that Lesnar will leave the ring having successfully defended his belt, especially after he beat Strowman less than 6 months ago.
A handicap match will see AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn battle it out for the WWE Championship. And fans will be witnesses to a remarkable feat of both Owens and Zayn are declared as champions of a single belt, as both fighters will have to be at their very best to overcome the singular threat posed by AJ Styles.
In terms of tag team championships, both Raw and SmackDown have their respective titles on the line at the event. Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan will again lock horns with Cesaro and Sheamus. The latter pairing, known as The Bar, are out for revenge and looking to win back their belts, which they probably will do. The SmackDown tag team championship bout sees The Usos taking on Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin in a 2-out-of-3 falls match. While the latter will pose a threat, it should be The Usos who are victorious on the night, defending their title.
Elsewhere, Enzo Amore and Cedric Alexander will meet again for the Cruiserweight championship. They met recently on Raw with Amore being counted out allowing him to keep his belt. This time Alexander will be looking to take the purple belt from Amore, especially after the defending champion feigned injury in their last meeting to preserve his status as the cruiserweight king.
