AEW Women's Tag Team Cup finals set for Saturday's Dynamite

The finals of the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Cup are set for this week’s edition of Dynamite.

On the final installment of the August Monday night series on YouTube, The Nightmare Sisters of Brandi Rhodes and Allie advanced with a win over Big Swole and Lil’ Swole (Nicole Savoy) while Ivelisse & Diamanté defeated Tay Conti and Anna Jay to finish their side of the bracket.

Rhodes and Allie have put aside their differences to come within one win of taking the Cup, taking advantage of Britt Baker’s distraction of Big Swole to pick up the win Monday. Conversely, partners and past rivals Ivelisse & Diamanté used their experience to dispatch the relatively new pairing of Conti and Jay.

The eight team tourney has featured several promotional debuts including Conti, Savoy, Ariane Andrew and Rachael Ellering in addition to the AEW in-ring debut of Dasha.

This week’s Dynamite will air on Saturday at 6 PM Eastern due to the NBA playoffs.
