WWE SmackDown ratings down, still above two million viewers

Overnight viewership for last night’s SmackDown on Fox saw the show average 2.066 million viewers, down 5.5 percent from last Friday.

On the bright side, this is the third straight week that SmackDown has done over two million viewers, the first such streak since May of this year.

Also, SmackDown managed to grow its audience over the course of the two hours. The first hour averaged 2.018 million viewers and the show rose to 2.113 million in hour two, an increase of almost five percent.

In the demos, SmackDown led the 18-34 rankings with the same 0.3 rating it had last week. The show was down 8.3 percent in the 18-49 demo, averaging a 0.55 rating. SmackDown still handily led all network programming in 18-49. The next closest programming was all three hours of ABC shows, which did a 0.4 rating.

SmackDown finished seventh out of the nine shows that aired in prime time on the major networks in overall viewership last night. This is the second straight week SmackDown escaped the basement in that category.
