FTR vs. Young Bucks Tag Team title match made for AEW Full Gear

The Young Bucks survived a four-way tag team match in the main event of Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite to earn a shot at Tag Team Champions FTR at November’s Full Gear pay-per-view.

After the match, FTR went to shake the Bucks’ hands but the challengers were surprised from behind by a Tully Blanchard chair shot, eventually leading to the champions “Pillmanizing” Matt Jackson’s ankle with a chair to close the show.

The four-way included Private Party, The Butcher & The Blade and Alex Reynolds/John Silver of the Dark Order. Matt Jackson pinned Isiah Kassidy with a roll-up to earn the victory.

The Bucks and FTR built up a rivalry on social media while FTR (then The Revival) were in WWE. When FTR signed with AEW earlier this year after being released, it was a question of when, not if, they would eventually meet in the ring as the two teams went face-to-face on their first night in.

FTR will be looking for the fourth defense of the titles they won from Kenny Omega and Hangman Page at September’s All Out. The Bucks have gone 0-2 in title shots thus far, losing to SCU at the December 18, 2019, Dynamite and to Omega/Page at February’s Revolution.
