— According to a report by pwinsider.com, WWE has Ric Flair brought in for last night’s Royal Rumble to appear with John Cena after his win, likely to put the actual title around Cena’s waist. However, this plan – which was to occur live in front of the crowd – was scrapped and the idea now is to tape something off camera and share on social media.

– This is just speculation, but WWE also really toned down on the hype surrounding Cena’s 16th title reign – tying Flair – over the last couple of weeks, which could be result of a) they were a bit unsure at the reaction Cena would get for the title win and/or b) Cena may only be holding the title for a short period of time.
