Source: TheSun.co.uk
Matt Hardy successfully underwent surgery on July 2 to repair a serious tear in his abdominal muscles. He will be out of action for 8 to 10 weeks, according to The Sun.
He posted the following message on his MySpace blog (link) last week, two days before the surgery:
“The Hurdle awaits. And I’m ready to cross it, jump it, or plow over it. Either way, I’m excited to enter into a new, better, chapter of my life and career. A chapter that I’ve waited for many years to finally write, and the time is now… Get ready, cause when I re-debut on Smackdown, nothing’s gonna stop me in the ring or in life.”
He then posted a picture of himself, Shannon More, Shane Helms and a few other friends with the caption, “Celebrating July 4th, 2009 at Shannon’s place … Only 2 days out from MAJOR surgery.” You can see the image here.
