A number one contender’s match to determine AEW World Champion Kenny Omega’s next challenger will take place on next week’s AEW Dynamite.
Top-ranked PAC will face Orange Cassidy. The winner will take on Omega for the AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing on Sunday, May 30.
Tony Schiavone made the match announcement on tonight’s Blood and Guts episode of Dynamite while interviewing Omega. Cassidy then came to the stage to confront Omega. Omega mocked Cassidy and said that perhaps he would be willing to face Cassidy when he becomes a fully grown adult. PAC was not on tonight’s episode.
PAC and Cassidy have one prior high-profile meeting in AEW, a singles match at the Revolution PPV in February 2020. PAC won that encounter, submitting Cassidy with the Brutalizer.
