WWE NXT video highlights: Bronson Reed wins North American title

By defeating Johnny Gargano on last night’s NXT, Bronson Reed became a champion for the first time in his WWE career.
The main event of last night’s show saw Reed defeat Gargano in a steel cage match to win the NXT North American Championship. After overcoming interference by Gargano’s The Way stablemate Austin Theory, Reed hit two top rope splashes on Gargano to get the win. Reed refused to win by exiting the door, instead choosing to hit his Tsunami splash on Gargano after the first splash.
In a post-show speech, Reed thanked all of the fans who come to NXT, the people at the commentary desk, everyone in the back, and everyone who has believed in him. Reed also thanked his wife, who joined him in the ring for the speech. Reed said his wife supporting him for the past 14 years is the reason that he’s able to live his dream and is now the new North American Champion. Reed declared that the Colossal Era of NXT has begun.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque posted a picture with Reed after last night’s show and congratulated him on his North American title win: “You don’t always see the struggles or the setbacks but tonight we saw a 14 year journey punctuated by @bronsonreedwwe becoming the NEW #NXTNATitle Champion. Congratulations to the #COLOSSAL!!! #AndNew #ThePoint #WWENXT”
