McMahon Reportedly Very Unhappy During Survivor Series Main Event

Last weekend’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view was headlined by a triple threat match between all three of the company’s top women’s champions.

While the bout had plenty of heat heading into the show, primarily due to several segments with Shayna Baszler appearing on Raw and Smackdown, the match was not ultimately well-received. Fans were mostly quiet throughout, but at points actively booed the action and chanted distracting, off-topic things.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon was not happy backstage as the match was going on. All three women did rehearse the match prior to last Sunday’s show, and given the level of talent in the ring most expected it to be one of the top matches on the card.

There is a story, although not confirmed, that McMahon was actually mad enough that he was yelling “high spots” at the referee, to relay to the women throughout the match.
