NXT UK Results

Cardiff, Wales
Time to run down everything that happened at NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff last weekend! I have a feeling this is going to be a very recap-heavy episode…
Match #1 – Rhea Ripley def. Pipe Niven
A big win for the former champion here. Rhea worked on her opponent’s back and legs throughout the match with submissions. She kicked out of a cannonball splash in the corner, and a Vader Bomb. Niven went to put the match away but her back wouldn’t hold up. Ripley tried for Riptide but couldn’t quite get it, and Niven hit a headbutt and a splash. She went to the ropes for another Vader Bomb, but Ripley drilled her with an elbow shot and got the Riptide to win.
Sid Scala announced that apparently Jack Gallagher is not medically cleared to compete. Kassius Ohno is furious and demands that he go find a last-minute replacement for the main event. Johnny Saint has an idea…
More flashbacks! This time we take a look at the triple threat NXT UK Tag Team Championship match at Takeover. We go backstage where the former champions as Johnny Saint for a rematch, which is set for next week’s show.
I was right. More flashbacks to the Coffey/Mastiff match and the women’s title match, and finally WALTER beating Tyler Bate in the main event.
Match #2 – Kassius Ohno def. Sid Scala

Scala actually got in a few good shots, a few roll-ups and the crowd seemed happy for the surprise of him wrestling. I think this was the first time in about a year or so that he’s actually wrestled a match in NXT. Ohno got the win with a Dream Crusher.
