Details On Why Andrade & Aleister Black Were Moved To Smackdown

Earlier this week it was reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet that one of the reasons why Andrade, Zelina Vega and Aleister Black were sent back to the Smackdown Live roster had to do with the FOX network wanting to feature Latino stars on their Spanish-language network Fox Deportes.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has added that another major reason was that WWE was put under pressure not to break up Andrade and Charlotte Flair, who have become a real-life couple. With Andrade paired with Vega as a manager, and Vega being married to Black, all three stars were shifted back to the blue brand.

WWE is reportedly doing a ton of focus group work right now to try to better understand the falling ratings, and is concerned about coming across as the “bad guy” by trying to break up a real-life couple, especially at a time when there are emerging competitors that the fans could potentially rally behind.
