OGC Nice poach Amiens goalkeeping coach Nicolas Dehon

OGC Nice have poached goalkeeping coach Nicolas Dehon from fellow Ligue 1 side Amiens.

Dehon will begin working with Les Aiglons on the 6th January. He had been with Amiens for six months and has previously held the same role at ESTAC Troyes, Le Havre, PSG and Marseille, coaching Salvatore Sirigu, Kevin Trapp, Alphonse Areola and Steve Mandanda.

OGC Nice Sporting Director Julien Fournier explained the appointment:

“He is very competent and has a great spirit. He was who we were looking for to succeed Lionel Letizi who is going to take up a different role. And he is not being relegated like I’ve heard people try to say. Far from it. Lionel is becoming the Head of Goalkeepers in the youth academy. From the age 12 category to the reserves. Lionel was immediately interested in this position. After spending 8 years with the 1st team, he wanted something else, a new challenge.”
