Lucas Deaux edging closer to Champions League move
According to our colleagues at But Football Club, Nantes midfielder Lucas Deaux is on the verge of joining Belgian outfit Gent in the opening days of the transfer window next month.
Gent already made an offer for the player in the summer, but he decided not to leave. Gillet is the player’s replacement at Les Canaris, who are now happy to let him go for an undisclosed fee.
Deaux is now set to play Champions League football for Gent, who surprised everybody by qualifying for the knockout stages in a group with Valencia, Lyon and Zenit.
