Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirms AC Milan offer
Speaking in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport and translated by Gianluca Di Marzio’s English website, PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirmed that he received an offer from AC Milan in the previous summer transfer window.
“It’s [Milan] my second home, and the place where I became famous with Juventus. At Ajax I was not well known but when I joined the bianconeri it opened my eyes. I have won the championship with three of the biggest clubs, Juventus, Inter and Milan. I became top goalscorer and was voted the player of the year. For me it remains the best league in the world.”
“There was a concrete offer from them and if I had said yes then the deal would have been done. But we never reached that point as it was not what I wanted. Though I was grateful to them, it still remains the best club I’ve played for.”
“Anything can happen but I’m feeling good and playing well. For now I’m in good form and as long as I can give something on the field I will continue to play. I won’t leave the Swedish national team either, my body is like a machine, the more it operated the better it functions. All football around the world interests me now, if I was to receive an interesting proposal then I would have to think about it.”
