Nottingham Forest could move for PSG goalkeeper Sergio Rico if Keylor Navas talks fail

According to Le Parisien Nottingham Forest have not ruled out a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s third-choice goalkeeper, Sergio Rico (29), as a backup option if the negotiations for Keylor Navas (36) fall through.

Despite being contracted with PSG until 2024, the 28-year-old Spanish goalkeeper has not played a single minute this season and could be involved in a transfer if Navas’s deal doesn’t go through. Rico was on loan to Majorca for the second half of the previous season.

L’Équipe previously reported that PSG were considering terminating the loan agreement of one of the eight players in order to facilitate goalkeeper Keylor Navas’ move to Forest – if he were to join the Premier League side on loan. Navas had given his agreement to join Nottingham Forest and discussions were opened with PSG on the nature of a move following a season during which the Costa Rican has seen little game time due to the establishment of Gianluigi Donnarumma (23) as PSG’s number 1 this season by manager Christophe Galtier.
