Luis Campos at odds with Antero Henrique over PSG player sales
As reported by RMC, with less than a week to go of the transfer window, tensions are rising between PSG’s pair of sporting directors, Luis Campos and Antero Henrique.
Campos, who arrived as ‘sporting adviser’ following the renewal of Kylian Mbappé’s contract at the end of last season, has been in charge of recruitment. Henrique, meanwhile, has been tasked with selling a group of around a dozen players deemed surplus to requirements this season as well as handling the financial aspect of recruitment.

However, the two directors do not seem to be entirely in tune. A player agent told RMC: “They are not always on the same wavelength. One wanted to sell while the other was only talking about a loan with an option to buy”.
PSG, and Campos, want to make more signings but can’t do so without further sales due to Financial Fair Play rules and the pressure is mounting on Henrique to complete deals for those undesirable players. With Mauro Icardi, Keylor Navas, Idrissa Gueye and Leandro Paredes all still PSG players, frustration is mounting from Campos’ side.
However, Henrique is also frustrated that his sales of Thilo Kehrer, Arnaud Kalimuendo, Alphonse Areola and Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe have not been appreciated, given that Paris failed miserably to make any meaningful sales under previous sporting director Leonardo.
