The Drugstore Moisturizer Shay Mitchell Can't Live Without
Shay Mitchell's go-to makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic, often jokingly calls her "Slay Mitchell" in his Snapchat videos, and we really can't think of a more accurate nickname for her. The 29-year-old Pretty Little Liars star is simply stunning. Getting in on even a few of her beauty secrets would make us happy. Luckily, I got the chance to chat with the newest brand ambassador for Bioré about her skin-care and makeup routines.
Mitchell's daily skin-care routine is surprisingly simple. "My favorite product now is the Bioré Baking Soda Liquid Pore Cleanser. I use that in the morning and at night," says Mitchell. "I think a lot people forget to clean their face in in the morning, but you know, when you're sleeping, the dirt and oil can get on your pillowcase, and I just always like starting the day with a fresh, clean face." The other thing Mitchell always does? Moisturize her body. "That's something I've always grown up with. My mother's always told me to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize," she says. "The Jergens Wet Skin Moisturizer is really amazing. I like to just leave it in my shower so I don't forget."
When it comes to her makeup routine, Mitchell is also low maintenance. "I don't like to wear too much makeup when I'm not working or shooting," she says. "But I think any tinted moisturizer and a good eyelash curler is key in my makeup bag." The moisturizer and eyelash curler Mitchell's loving right now? That would be Jouer Matte Moisture Tint and the Shiseido Eyelash Curler. Oh, and Mitchell is all about blending. That must be the key to her flawless skin. "With all these contour videos coming out, it's all about making sure you blend in all the products," she says. "I just use a regular sponge, like the Beautyblender."
