Police Free Man Chained For 45 Days On Khap’s Order For Eloping With A Married Woman

Rajasthan police managed to set free a man who was chained for 45 days in Parau village. A human right organisation approached the police and it was revealed that the Khap Panchayat had ordered to chain the man for allegedly eloping with a married woman.

Two months ago, the Panchayat ordered the family of Manoj, the man in question to chain him and the family followed it. However, after getting a note of the case, a local human rights group approached the police. “We were informed that a man had been chained at his house.
