Waitress Tackles Man Who Groped Her At Georgia Restaurant (WATCH)

SAVANNAH, GA — A Georgia waitress tackled a man who groped her while she was at work, grabbing him by the back of his shirt and pulling him to the ground, according to surveillance video of the incident.

Savannah Police said the incident took place around 11 p.m. on June 30 at Vinnie Van Go-Go’s on Bryan Street in Savannah. CCTV video of the incident was posted to Reddit earlier this week and was widely circulated.

Police told Patch in an email that they are not providing the footage because it is a part of the case file but they confirmed that video circulating online is the same one their officers reviewed.

The man in the video, Ryan Cherwinski, 31, of Palm Bay, Florida, was taken into custody at the scene and charged with sexual battery.

Police said the woman told officers the man walked by and grabbed her buttocks. Her account was confirmed by the surveillance footage, police said.

In the video, the woman can be seen standing with her back towards the man when he walks by and grabs her buttocks. While he appears to try and make a stealthy exit, she immediately goes after him, pulling him by the back of his shirt and bringing him to the ground before saying something to him that is inaudible.
