SATURDAY NEWS UPDATE
WWE
After being released by WWE, Zelina Vega posted a message last night thanking the fans for supporting her over the past 3-4 years: “I want to say thank you all very much for the last 3-4 years @WWEUniverse, it was incredible. I would have never have been able to say “this is for you dad” if certain people did not believe in me. I love you all and I couldn’t have done it without your support”
Vega also got emotional while thanking her fans for the support they showed her during her Twitch stream last night. Vega said she’s heartbroken, but she’s grateful for her time with WWE and will never say anything bad about anyone there. Vega called pro wrestling her first love and said she’ll definitely keep wrestling.

Randy Orton reflected on yesterday being the 15th anniversary of the passing of Eddie Guerrero: “15 years ago me along with the rest of the crew, wore an armband with ‘EG’ on it. I was able to do some digging and find mine from that day. It was our way of paying tribute to one of the best performers and people in our lockeroom. I don’t remember a lot from back then, but I remember that day. I remember getting to the arena and hearing the devastating news. I think I wrestled Cena that night. None of our heads were ‘in it’, because of our tremendous loss. Today I know many people around the world will watch some Eddie Guerrero classics, in remembrance of his talent. I’ll be doing the same. #eddieguerrero #rip #vivalaraza”
Kurt Angle tweeted about today being the 21st anniversary of his WWF debut: “21 years ago to this day, I made my WWE Debut at the 1999 Survivor Series PPV. Thanks to the WWE Universe for the Amazing memories we shared. Much Love! #itstrue”
Drew McIntyre tweeted following his appearance on last night’s SmackDown: “Forging a legacy for myself, no family to open doors for me. First I beat Randy and reclaim my WWE Title, then I’m coming for you Roman #WWERaw #SurvivorSeries”
Roman Reigns then responded to McIntyre: “The whole ‘family opening the doors’ thing is so played out and just an unoriginal excuse. Free lesson for you, Drew. It’s not about getting in the door, it’s about owning the room. Which you will never do..while I’m around. Good luck on Monday at #RAW. #SurvivorSeries”
WWE posted a job listing for a motion graphics designer “to work within WWE’s growing Advanced Media Group, specifically for Twitch.”
WWE’s YouTube channel uploaded The Undertaker vs. Triple H from WrestleMania XXVII, John Cena vs. Kurt Angle for the WWE Championship from Survivor Series 2005, and the Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown men’s elimination match from Survivor Series 2017.
