Legal Battle Brewing Between WWE and ROH?, WWE Hall of Famers to Make First Non-WWE Appearance Together
As we noted yesterday, via PWInsider.com, ROH COO Joe Koff revealed in an interview that after discussions between WWE and Madison Square Garden, ROH is now unable to run its previously scheduled date at MSG in 2019.
Furthermore, Koff teased a possible legal battle between WWE and ROH when he noted, “I’m expecting that our lawyers will be contacting all the parties involved and the best we can hope is that we can find a resolution, so we can bring the kind of energy and excitement that ROH and our partner New Japan to a bigger audience and to bigger arenas and to the fans of New York City.”
Forbes’ Alfred Konuwa has since published a new article on a potential WWE and ROH legal battle ensuing following this week’s MSG news, writing, “[Joe] Koff’s mention of lawyers hints that ROH is not going down without a fight, and while the promotion is an infinitesimally smaller operation than that of WWE, it is backed by media juggernaut Sinclair Broadcasting (SBG). Amid a hotly contested proposed merger of Tribune Media, SBG is the largest television broadcaster in the United States and could expand to having stations available in 72% of homes.”

WWE HOFers PAT PATTERSON & JERRY BRISCO MAKE THEIR FIRST NON-WWE APPEARANCE TOGETHER AT CWF FANFEST 4 IN TAMPA!
Pat Patterson & Jerry Brisco will be making their first non-WWE joint appearance on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in suburban Tampa, FL at CWF Fanfest 4. These two Wrestling Legends and WWE Hall of Famers were both headliners in the wrestling territories for decades (including Championship Wrestling from Florida), were both influential in the WWF Expansion in 1983, and later worked together in The Attitude Era as Mr. McMahon’s “Stooges”.
CWF Fanfest is a unique, intimate, fan-friendly event, limited to only 200 wrestling fans, where you get more than a 10 second photo opportunity. Our guests are all encouraged to interact with the fans, similar more to a “family reunion” than a wrestling convention. We will also offer, for the first time ever in a non-WWE setting, a Dinner/Q&A with Patterson & Brisco, limited to 50 fans. Enjoy a catered dinner and 2 hours+ of history, road stories and your questions answered by these legends.
Additional Fanfest Guests will be announced shortly and we will also induct another legend in the CWF Archives Hall of Fame.
This event will be held at the Marriott Residence Inn Suncoast Parkway at NorthPointe Village in Lutz, FL. Limited rooms at the hotel will be made available shortly at the CWF Legends Fanfest Facebook Group.
Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, June 20 at 8 PM EST at this link.
