Okada On When He Found Out About Y2J vs Omega

New Japan Pro Wrestling star Kazuchika Okada recently spoke with FOX Sports Australia, and below are some interview highlights:

On when he found out about Chris Jericho vs Kenny Omega at Wrestle Kingdom 12:

“(I found out at) Power Struggle in Osaka. I didn’t know that news,” Okada said.

“I was in the locker room watching the show same as the fans. I thought, woah! What the?”

And is Okada keen on facing off against Jericho himself?

“I’m OK. I just want to enjoy, as a fan, Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho,” he said.

On his time in TNA:

“For me, (it was a) good experience,” Okada said of his time there.

“TNA doesn’t care about (having a) good match. But they taught me about character, for a TV show and for the cameras.

“So it was good for me to become the Rainmaker. So, wrestling, being strong, having good matches? I learned that in New Japan. But as a TV character? TNA was good (for me).”
