Leandro Paredes on Neymar, robberies, criticism, Mauricio Pochettino & more

Speaking in an interview with TF1, Argentinian and PSG central midfielder Leandro Paredes discussed the Ligue 1 title race, the futures of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, the robberies that Marquinhos and Angel di Maria were recently victims of and much more.

On criticism of PSG:

People expect us to be champions. We have that pressure. We are PSG, we have a great team, the best in France. We need to prove each day that we are the best in all competitions.

On tonight’s match vs Lyon:

We cannot afford to make any mistakes. We no longer have any right to lose points. Our only option is to win because the other teams are very good. We no longer have a choice: we must win against OL.

On the robberies that occurred last weekend at Marquinhos’ father’s house and Angel di Maria’s:

We were all very affected by it. It could happen to any one of us, and it happened to Marqui and Angel. I hope that everything will calm down and that we can forget about all of that.

On his future:

I feel very good here. What made me stay was the belief from the board and my team-mates (had an offer from Inter Milan). They called me to ask me to stay. That strengthened my decision.

On the futures of Neymar and Kylian Mbappé:

The club is going to do everything possible to keep them. We are going to continue to enjoy their presence and hope that they stay.

On Mauricio Pochettino:

With Mauricio, a lot of things have changed. Before, there were things that were not working… We all needed a change on the psychological side of things. Personally, collectively too, we have worked a lot more than before.
