Mauricio Pochettino in talks to become PSG’s new manager

RMC Sport report that Ligue 1 club PSG are in negotiations to appoint former player and ex-Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino to replace the now fired Thomas Tuchel.

Les Parisiens this morning opened negotiations with the German tactician’s lawyers to find a settlement, with Tuchel still having 6 months remaining on his current deal. Tuchel was informed last night by Leonardo that he was sacked.

Pochettino wanted to come to Paris and had always at some point wanted to manage PSG.

Pochettino is PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi’s choice – the sacking of Tuchel is specifically due to the German’s “lack of influence on the team and how he communicates,” as well as sporting criteria, according to RMC.
